What's Included in Our Furnace Cleaning Service
Our furnace cleaning goes far beyond wiping down the outer cabinet. We remove the blower assembly entirely to clear grease and dust from the wheel, since buildup here is one of the leading causes of reduced airflow and premature motor wear. Burners are scrubbed free of soot and corrosion to restore an even flame, and we hand-polish the flame sensor — a component that, when coated, is responsible for a large share of unexpected gas furnace shutdowns.
We also examine the accessible surfaces of the heat exchanger, flush the condensate line on high-efficiency units to clear algae and sediment, and clean out dust from the control board and wiring compartment. Left unchecked, a clogged condensate drain can force a high-efficiency furnace into safety lockout even when every other part is working correctly, so this step is never skipped.
Every visit includes a filter replacement or cleaning, along with a static pressure reading taken before and after service so we can confirm airflow has genuinely improved. Cleanings are also when small issues — frayed wiring, a corroding connector, a stretched belt — tend to surface, giving us the chance to address them before they cause a breakdown in the middle of winter.
